The Term breakup refers to the termination of a relationship. It's commonly termed "dumping [someone]". The term breakup is less likely to be used  for a married couple, where It's typically called a separation or divorce. When a couple engaged to be married, breaks up is typically called a "broken engagement". 

Perceptions of people about breakup is mostly in a romantic aspect, however, There can be a non-romantic and platonic breakups, which may happen as a result of failure to maintain a friendship. But all in all it breaks people's heart.

Stages leading to a breakup

There are five stages of that leads up to breakup according to L. Lee

• Dissatisfaction: This is a a period where one or both partners starts to feels dissatisfied with one or two things about their partner or the relationship.

• Exposure: This is the period where the two partners become aware of the problems in their relationship

• Negotiation: This happens after the partners are aware of the problems and both partners starts doing all they can to find solutions to the problem in attempt to safe the way relationship. 

• Resolution and transformation: During this period both partners apply outcome of their negotiation in order to stabilized their relationships and prevent it from crashing and eventual break up.

• Termination: This happens as a result of failure in rectifying the issues that both partner had. It's shows that the resolution that was applied to save the relationship failed and no further solutions are accepted or applied.

 Breakups can be tough decision but a necessity in other to prevent any form of abuse in the relationship or mental health problems which might occur as a result of depression. Breakup happen in different ways. Sometimes we see them coming, and sometimes we don’t.

 In this article  I will explain factors that can lead to dissatisfaction which could eventually leads to why men breakup With women.

1. Being too dependent: 

Men want a grown up woman who at least can handle part of her business, but still, let us know that there's a place in her life for us that only we can fill. You're not a child, and we don't expect to treat you like one or take care of you like one. If you come to a guy for every single thing! Money for Your hair, your phone, airtime, new clothes, butt pad, etc...baby is this a relationship or a job opportunity? Well, one day he makes up his mind and become "unavailable"

2. Women listen to their friends too much: 

We understand the need for female friendship. But when you start letting your single girlfriends (who constantly run guys off or haven't dated since the time of John the baptize) get into the business of your relationship, that's asking for trouble. This will happen because she is yet to experience what it means to have man in one's life and won't be able to judge well in your matter. 

3. Too boring: 

Good communication is a key factor in a relationship and lack or insufficient communication can lead to breakup. Good communication between partners makes them more friendly towards each other and helps in improving their relationships.

Come on! You have to work better on your communication skills! Every time You chat on phone With your partner 50% of your replies are "one-word replies" (kk,k,aiit, nop, hmmm) what the ff? 

Even when You are together, 70% of your time is spent on Korean movies. (Still waiting to kill the morafuker that invented those movies!). This affect and weak relationship take note of it. 

4. Is this a relationship or a prison sentence?: 

We expect parolees to give an account of where they've been almost all the time, and who they've been with. Parole officers check to see if the parolees actually report to work. Most of the girls we have around nowadays are just like parole officers! 😂 

She calls you and the first question is "where are you?" (Give me a break!) What crime have I committed that warrant such treatment. Does loving a woman means I have committed a crime that I can't do anything without being monitored like evil spirits. 

Chill, he is yours because you are destined to be with him. You can ask him calmly about his day so that he will be assured that you care about him. Knowing that you care about will prompt him to want to tell you about his day. Relationship should not be prison sentences. 

5. Don't you ever have anything nice to say?: 

Most women don't know how go talk nicely except when they want to collect money and make requests for things from there man. 

Yeah, we mess up from time to time (and it may seem that those times run pretty close together). But can't you just say something nice! undecided

There was a time I brought some stuff home from the market and my ex said "these things are too expensive now, I would have gotten it at a cheaper price" (dafuq? Can't she just say that nicely? Or even say "thanks") Psychologists call it "positive reinforcement." Men call it "giving us a break."

6. There's no future in the past: 

We've all made mistakes. The thing is to learn from them, not live in them. if your man made a mistake, and you've agreed to forgive him for it, then do that. Don't bring it up and keep beating him over the head with it. If you keep bringing up the past, then be prepared to talk about your man in the past tense, as in "ex."
