How To Retrieve And Read Deleted WhatsApp Messages With WAMR On Android

WhatsApp is one of the most widely used FREE messaging app available for Android and other smartphones. WhatsApp uses your phone's Internet connection (4G/3G/2G/EDGE or Wi-Fi, as available) to let you message and call friends and family.

It makes texting a friend or connecting a group chat with members of your family, It is the most preferred app since almost everyone uses it. With over 5 Billion users, It has been introducing new features to the Whatsapp platform which include users being able to use it on multiple devices and more recently, disappearing messages. Also Due to human error of typo mistakes, WhatsApp added the feature that enables users to delete sent messages before the receiver reads them. This was so useful in correcting typing errors or sending a message to the wrong contact. But everything with a good advantage comes with its bad effect as well. A deleted message makes the receiver curious about the content of the message.

Although for privacy purposes WhatsApp doesn’t officially allow users to reads deleted messages, But all thanks to developers there is an app that will make your dream becomes reality with an application called WAMR - (Recover deleted messages & status). In this article, I will take you through how you can use this application to read deleted Whatsapp messages on your phone.

Note

This Application and method Work only on Android and It's not available on iOS For now. As I have said earlier We will be using a third-party app for this trick and the app will have notification access. This application is different from Clone WhatsApp like Gbwhatsapp, Yowhatsapp, WhatsApp Plus, and the rest. As well this is NOT an official method and the app doesn't have any Link to WhatsApp.

What's is notification access?

Notification access is broad and can be invasive permission to grant to an app, so please be very careful before you go ahead and grant the app such access.

How to Read Deleted WhatsApp Messages

A few years back WhatsApp messages becomes end-to-end encrypted, so it's not possible to recover a deleted message. This article will teach you how to use an app to keep track of your WhatsApp notifications. It will access the notification history of your phone to figure out the deleted message. It works with other WhatsApp Business and also other messaging applications such as Instagram and Telegram, signal, and the rest.

Steps On how you can recover deleted messages on WhatsApp

  • Download WAMR on Play Store and install it on your phone. Although there are lots of application that does the job I prefer this one.
  • After installation, open it, read and accept their rules and disclaimer. Then click on the Next arrow.
  • The app will request you to pick the application you want to monitor. Then Select an app such as WhatsApp, Telegram from the list of messaging apps, and other applications on your phone then select Whatsapp that you want to monitor.

  • Read through continue swiping until you get to the Setup screen. Then Click on Enable which is next to Notification Reader.

  • The application will redirect your phone’s application Settings to grant notification access. Just Scroll till you find WAMR and click on it.
  • Then click on the next button to Allow notification access and Click on Allow again.

  • Once you’ve granted the app access, then go back to the WAMR app and Click on the Next arrow.
  • Now You have activated a service that stores your WhatsApp notification history. In case someone messages you and deleted the message, WAMR will notify you, and then you can read the messages by clicking on the notification.

Some android phones have aggressive RAM management which prevents the WAMR process from running in the background. It's advisable that the app always run in the background to prevent the app from not working and not storing the notifications.

With this, if someone deletes a message that was sent to you, the contents of the message are already stored in WAMR via the notification and you can access it by visiting the WAMR.

Limitations

There are some limitations to how the application works. In case you muted some contacts and such contact messages and later deleted the message, WAMR won't be able to recover it since notifications for muted contacts are disabled. If you have disabled media auto-download on WhatsApp, WAMR won't be able to save the deleted media files and you won't be able to see it. The application (WAMR) won't be able to retrieve the message deleted while your phone was off or not connected to the internet since you wouldn’t have received a notification.

If you can cope with these limitations, you can use the application and read deleted WhatsApp messages sent to you and satisfy your curiosity! We would still recommend exercising your own discretion when choosing to use such apps.
